HELPFUL HINTS to make your "Jeffertonize" pictures come out better:

it helps to have bright lighting. the detail on everything comes out looking just as good as the TV show.

and, it REALLY helps to be up against a wall/screen of just 1 simple color (blue, green, white, etc.) Personally, the pictures I take of myself/friends to "Jeffertonize" are all against completely white walls and backdrops. This way, it's a much smoother and less time-consuming cut when cropping it in Photoshop.

I have the same sort of problem. I have a wireless and optical mouse, so I have double the jumpiness. What I usually do if I'm having trouble cutting out something is:

First I crop out what I'm cutting out as closely as possible.

Then I select and fill in the biggest spaces I don't want with some color that is not in the part I want cut out, such as bright green or bright pink or something.

Next I zoom in and carefully paint the rest of the background with this color.

After everything I don't want cut is filled in I go to "select by color" and select the color I painted everything.

Then "Invert selection".

The section you want cut should be highlighted, now go cut and paste away!


Of course I don't know much about these kind of things so I kinda came up with that method on my own, someone else might have a much more simple and practical way of doing this.

i usually use the flash and drawn with vectors

i break the picture up to change it from a jpeg or bitmap into
vector color fields

i magnify the picture as far as it will zoom in and draw lines
all the way around it so it is one unbroken line, then i select
everything outside the line and delete it.

i recently picked up the DVD and converted all my old tgttm hating friends into hardcore tad fanatics. i wanted to jeffertonize some photos of us, you know for good measure, but there 2 year old posts are dead and that link is to a nonexistent thread. if someone could link me up the correct thread or maybe give me a quick rundown that would be sweet. thanks a bunch taker easy
