It was difficult to tell when they were joking and when they were being serious, which, sadly, is something lost in the transcription. I have the entire interview recorded, and their vocal inflections add a lot to what was said (believe me) but I don't know if I have the right to actually post that up as an mp3.
Regardless, I laughed when they described the rape situation, and the death squad situation, and the napalm situation...but the more they got into it the more I realized there was a lot of art behind what they would like to have done with the episodes...it wasn't chaos for the sake of chaos...there was a lot invested in those ideas...and, in a very real way, I'm sorry they didn't get made.
Anyway, that was longwinded and probably boring. They are two very funny men and I felt priveleged to be able to interview them. Maybe after Awesome Show season one is out of the way I'll try to get them to open up about that as well.
